Kelly is not only so talented & cares so deeply about her craft;
but she's also a friend of mine.
So I know first hand how beautiful of a person she is as well :)
Kelly has always been creative & studied makeup at Weltec in 2011.
She has now been working as a makeup artist & in the beauty industry for 12 years,
so she knows her stuff!
After studying, Kelly has worked with amazing teams like
Napoleon Perdis, Revlon & Mac for 5 years.
Through these brands she got to assist with Wellington & New Zealand Fashion Weeks;
working with brands like Twentysevennames!
Kelly got her start in wedding makeup through clients she met through her time on beauty counters.
It is such a rewarding feeling for her when a bride looks in the mirror
for the first time at her makeup & she has that glow of excitement!
Her favourite thing about makeup is inspiring confidence in others,
which in return inspires confidence in herself & her craft.
We spoke about how it is such a personable & trusting job.
It is so personal, building a relationship with someone
& creating a vision for their makeup together.
It is a collaboration built on trust & Kelly is so passionate about what she does.
The other part of makeup that Kelly loves is the creative side.
She started her creative journey in art & painting
& loves to experiment with colours, shapes, textures & the layering of each step.
